About

Elle Hanson is a postdoc at the Anton Pannekoek Institute for Astronomy at the University of Amsterdam, where she is working with Dr. Alessandra Candian to model the photochemistry of PAH formation in the atmosphere of Saturn's largest moon, Titan. Before starting her postdoc Elle completed her PhD, focused on on organic ice clouds in Titan's stratosphere, at Johns Hopkins University, working under Darryn Waugh. Her interests are quite broad, and include clouds and mesoscale meteorology on other planets, radiative transfer measurements and modeling, planetary rings, and other anything involving ices. Elle also enjoys coffee, cats, birds, programming, and cross stitching to science fiction/fantasy audiobooks. She pronounces her name Ellie, but also responds to Lavender and Elle.
