About

Elle Hanson is a PhD student in the Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences at Johns Hopkins. She is a student of Darryn Waugh and her PhD work focuses on clouds in the stratosphere of Saturn's moon Titan, but her interests are quite broad, including clouds and mesoscale meteorology on other planets, radiative transfer retrievals, ices, and planetary rings. Elle likes coffee, cats, and birds, and she has a bad habit of writing mini python packages every time she starts a new project. She goes by both Lavender and Elle.
